Send an email to support@zenai.pro with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include your registered email address and business name.
When you use zenai, we collect the following categories of data: account information (name, email address, business name, connected channel identifiers), billing and subscription records, customer conversation history (message content, sender ID, timestamps, and related metadata), AI intent scripts and configuration you create, booking settings, and product or service information you upload.
To request deletion of your zenai account and associated data, send an email to support@zenai.pro with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". In your email, include: (1) the email address you registered with, and (2) your business name as it appears in your zenai dashboard. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Upon a verified data deletion request, we permanently remove eligible data including: your account profile and login credentials, conversation messages and dashboard history linked to your account, AI intent scripts, response templates, automation configuration, booking settings, product and service data you uploaded, and WhatsApp Business channel configuration. Deletion is permanent and irreversible once processed, except for backup copies that expire through normal backup rotation.
Certain records are subject to mandatory retention requirements and cannot be immediately deleted. Financial transaction records (M-Pesa payments, subscription invoices, and billing history) are retained for 7 years for tax, audit, and financial compliance. When an account is deleted, retained billing records are detached from the deleted account where possible and kept only for compliance. Security logs and backups may persist until their normal rotation period expires. These records are kept securely and are not used for marketing.
zenai acts as a data processor on behalf of your business. Customer messages received through connected channels are processed by our AI pipeline to generate responses and are stored as conversation history so your team can review, reply, audit, and measure support quality. Message records are retained for 90 days by default and then purged by our retention job unless a customer contract or legal obligation requires a different period. Conversation data linked to your account is deleted as part of verified account deletion, subject to the exceptions above.
Once we have processed your deletion request, we will send a confirmation email to the address you registered with. This confirmation will include the date the deletion was completed. If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 days of submitting your request, please follow up at support@zenai.pro.
