Cookie Policy
The few things Zenai keeps in your browser, why, and the one choice you have: analytics.
1. What we keep in your browser
Cookies are small files your browser stores for a website. Local storage and session storage do a similar job for web apps. This is everything Zenai uses:
| Name | Kind | Lasts | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| zenai_session | Essential · HttpOnly cookie | Up to 7 days | Keeps you signed in to the Zenai app. Page scripts cannot read it. |
| zenai_auth | Essential · cookie | Up to 7 days | A non-secret signed-in marker, so the app can send you to the right screen. |
| zenai_cookie_consent | Essential · local storage | Until you clear it | Remembers whether you accepted analytics or chose only the necessary items. |
| Display preferences | Functional · local storage | Until changed or cleared | Remembers the look you chose inside the Zenai app, such as its theme. |
| zenai_token | Essential · session storage | Until you close the tab or sign out | A fallback for old sign-in links only. Normal sign-in uses the HttpOnly cookie. |
| PostHog identifiers | Analytics · cookie and local storage | Set by PostHog | Only if you choose "Accept analytics": helps us see which pages help and where sign-up gets stuck. |
2. Your choice about analytics
The first time you visit, we ask whether you accept analytics. PostHog, our analytics provider, does not start unless you choose Accept analytics. If you choose Only necessary, nothing but the essential items above is kept. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and you will be asked again.
3. Inside the Zenai app
This choice is about this website. Once you are signed in to the Zenai app, we also use PostHog to see which parts of the app are used and to find errors, so we can fix them. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not record your screen or the text of your customers' messages. What it receives is your business's account number, your role, which pages were opened and what failed. Our servers send similar counts, such as that a message was received or a reply was sent, and never the message itself.
4. Managing cookies yourself
You can view and delete cookies and local storage in your browser's privacy settings. Removing the essential items signs you out of the Zenai app and may stop it working until you sign in again.
5. No advertising
Zenai does not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels, and does not sell analytics data. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle data overall.
